The solution to send bulk WhatsApp broadcasts to unlimited users is the WhatsApp Business API.
Launched around the same time as WhatsApp Business, the WhatsApp Business API is designed for medium to large businesses to enhance client communication.
It allows you to send broadcasts to unlimited unique users, automate notifications like abandoned cart reminders and payment links, engage with multiple customers at once, and offer 24/7 customer support through WhatsApp chatbots and live agents.
WhatsApp Broadcasting with WhatsApp Business API
The WhatsApp Business API enables businesses to send broadcast messages on WhatsApp, such as notifications, announcements, promotional messages, and more all from a single platform.
However, because the WhatsApp Business API is simply an API and not a complete platform, you’ll need to use a WhatsApp API-powered platform like Serri to send bulk broadcast messages on WhatsApp effectively.

Sending WhatsApp Broadcasts Through Serri
Once your WhatsApp Business API is approved, you can start sending bulk WhatsApp broadcast messages using Serri.
There are two methods to send broadcast messages on WhatsApp through Serri
Method 1: Bulk WhatsApp Broadcasting via the Contact Page
Step 1: Filter the customers based on various parameters. You can
filter using parameters such as organic, ads, active, and closed as shown in the image below
Step 2: Now, select all the filtered-down users and click on the “Broadcast” button as shown in the image below
Step 3: Name your campaign & select a pre-approved template message to Broadcast to your users.
Method 2- WhatsApp Broadcasting through Campaign Page
To launch a WhatsApp Broadcast from the campaigns page, hit the ‘+launch’ button on the top right corner and choose ‘Broadcast’. Now, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Choose a campaign name that best describes the broadcast or your end goals.
Select between pre-approved template messages or regular messages that you want to broadcast to users.
Template messages need to be approved from WhatsApp to send to users while Regular messages can be sent to users who have connected with you in the past 24 hours.
Step 2: Now, segregate your audience and choose the contacts to whom you wish to send the WhatsApp Broadcast.
Step 3: Pick a pre-approved template message or create a regular message and configure the parameters just like we did while sending broadcasts through the contacts method.
After doing this, fill in the parameters by selecting relevant attributes. You can either choose the attributes by clicking the attribute button or type it manually as we did in Method 1.
Step 5: Configure & preview the selected message and click “Broadcast” to launch the WhatsApp Broadcast Campaign.
How to track analytics?
Tracking the performance of WhatsApp Broadcast is equally important as sending the broadcast.
Serri’s intuitive dashboard allows you to monitor analytics quite easily! Here’s how to do it:
Go to campaigns and hit the ‘eye’ button on the left side of each campaign.
You’ll see analytics like the ones shown in the image below
Here, you can view how many people the campaign was sent to or failed to send, deliver, read, and enqueued.
That’s it!
Your message will reach your customers immediately.
Limit on Broadcast Messages
You can send an unlimited number of messages to an unlimited number of users using the Serri dashboard.
But cannot start sending messages to 100, 000 unique customers from the beginning. You’d need to convince WhatsApp that you’re credible. You’d have to win the three tiers of trust:
To get unlimited broadcast messaging, you need to reach the maximum tier Limit.
WhatsApp Broadcast Tiers
- Tier 1: Send messages to 1,000 unique users daily (within a 24-hour slot).
- Tier 2: Send messages to 10,000 unique users daily (within a 24-hour slot).
- Tier 3: Send messages to 100,000 unique users daily (within a 24-hour slot).
- Tier 4: Send messages to unlimited unique users daily (within a 24-hour slot).
How to Increase the WhatsApp Broadcast Limit
To increase your WhatsApp Broadcast Limit, you need to move to the next tier. Here’s how:
- Keep a Good Quality Rating: Your quality rating should not be low.
- Reach the User Threshold: Send messages to at least half of your current limit.
Example
If your current limit is 1,000 users per 24 hours, you need to send messages to at least 500 users over the next 7 days to move to the next tier.
So, if you’re in Tier 1 and send messages to 500 unique users within 7 days, Meta will increase your limit to 10,000 users on the 8th day.
If you send 500 messages on the first day, your limit will upgrade to 10,000 on the second day.
Current Limit: 10,000 unique users per 24 hours
Upgrade Goal: 100,000 unique users
Steps to Upgrade:
- Message Requirement: Send messages to at least 50% of your current limit (5,000 unique users) within the next 7 days.
- Quality Rating: Ensure your Quality Rating is Medium or High. This rating reflects how users respond to your messages.
By meeting these criteria, you can move to the next Broadcast Tier and enjoy a higher messaging limit.
What Happens if a Business Exceeds the Daily WhatsApp Broadcast Limit?
You can’t send broadcasts to users over your tier limit. If you try, you’ll get an error message.
Example
If a business in Tier 1 with a limit of 1,000 users tries to send a broadcast to 1,500 users, you’ll see an error message “Audience size exceeding remaining quota, some messages may not be delivered”
You’ll need to reduce the number of users to 1,000 to successfully send the broadcast.
